Applying to many colleges is not something new today. It is not uncommon for soon-to-be college students to apply to as many colleges and universities as they can.

A 2013 report by the National Center for Education Statistics states that more and more students are applying to several schools today than ever before. This means tougher competition for both students and colleges alike. But even with the highly competitive admissions process, these students managed to get more acceptance letters than they have expected.

An example is Ariyana Davis of Chicago. According to USA Today College, Davis has received acceptance to a total of 22 colleges! And aside from this amazing news, she also got $300,000 in scholarships. For those who are wondering how she made it happen, she simply used the Common Black College Application which is a website that sends a single application to 50 historically black colleges for only $35. Davis said that among the 22 schools, she has chosen to attend Alcorn State University in Mississippi and will probably take her masters at the University of Illionois.

Another one from Maryland is Olawunmi Akinlemibola who is accepted to a total of 14 schools. Among them are Amherst, Brown, Cornell, Duke, Emory, Grinnell, Harvard, Princeton, Stanford and Swarthmore. She also got acceptance from University of Chicago, University of Pennsylvania, as well as two University of Maryland colleges. Akinlemibola has 4.19 for her GPA, for which reason she was offered full scholarships. She was overwhelmed with the acceptance she received as she thought she would not get in anywhere.

Meanwhile, the Wade brothers, quadruplets from Cincinnati, all got accepted from the top Ivy League schools including Yale and Harvard. The four of them also got acceptance from the other different Ivy Leagues, and said that they still could not believe how it happened.
