The United States of America had the most number of young billionaires in the world this year. There are 24 young billionaires from America, aged 40 and below. Majority of them made their fortune by building their own tech companies, according to Forbes.

Mark Zuckerberg

Mark Zuckerberg is the co-founder and CEO of Facebook. He has an estimated wealth of $56 billion. Zuckerberg studied at Harvard University but dropped out after two years and and put up Facebook.

Dustin Moskovitz

Dustin Moskovitz helped Mark Zuckerberg launch Facebook during their student days. He also dropped out from Harvard together with Mark Zuckerberg and they put up Facebook. In 2008, he left Facebook and built his company, the Asana, which is a workflow software company.

Garret Camp

Garret Camp Is the co-founder of Uber, a ride sharing app that lets a rider request a ride using their mobile phones, according to Life Wire. Camp graduated from the University of Calgary in 2002. He is also the founder of Stumble Upon, which is a platform for discovering websites. He also founded Expa Studios.

Nathan Blecharczyk

Nathan Blecharczyk has a net worth of $3.8 billion. His wealth came from Airbnb.. His company owns around two million homes and rooms in 190 countries worldwide. He is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Harvard University.

Brian Chesky

Brian Chesky is the CEO of Airbnb, a hospitality exchange service. He graduated from Rhode Island School of Design. When a conference was held in San Francisco, all hotel rooms were booked so he and his roommate decided to rent out their apartment. They bought three air mattresses and the Airbnb was born. Airbnb stands for Airbed and breakfast.

Among the five young billionaires, three studied at Harvard University but two were dropouts. Three of the billionaires made their fortune from their tech companies while two made their billions from hospitality exchange service.
