College application may seem like a daunting task especially for students. However, students can get rid of anxiety over admissions by being prepared.

One of the things that senior high school students need to prepare for is the SAT entrance exam. It was recently reported that the College Board, the firm that owns the SAT college entrance exam, has recently announced a comprehensive set of policies in efforts to enhance the test's security.

The new measures are expected to ensure the integrity of the students' scores which are delivered to colleges and universities. It is also intended to protect the majority of students who prepare for the test honestly.

Android Central shared four free SAT preparation apps that students can find in the Google Play Store. It provides upcoming SAT test-takers with the materials and resources that they can use to do well in the exam.

1. SAT Vocabulary Flash Cards

This free app prepares students for the 350 most important SAT vocabulary words with the use of flashcards. It also provides definitions and example sentences for each word for better comprehension. The wordlist is gathered by expert SAT tutors.

2. Daily Practice for the New SAT

Key features of this free app include a Question of the Day and a Scan and Score, which allows users to instantly score a practice SAT by taking a photo of the grid. It also has personalized progress tracking and comparisons as well as access to SAT dates and registration deadlines. The app can connect to the official SAT Practice at Khan Academy.

3. Ready4SAT

Ready4SAT is another free app for the Android platform to help students with their SAT preparation. It contains more than 1,000 SAT questions with detailed explanations for the answers. Users can also make use of the app's customizable practice tests for personalized learning.

4. SAT Up

With this app, students can learn how well they do on practice tests through an estimate of their SAT test score. It also determines which areas users are better in and which areas need improvement. There are daily workouts for better SAT preparation as well.
