The latest episode of "The Blacklist" Season 4 painted Dembe (Hisham Tawfiq) as Red's (James Spader) betrayer. Some viewers, however, are suspicious of the reveal and are wondering if a different person is coordinating the demise of Red's organization.

"The Blacklist" executive producer Jon Bokenkamp revealed to Entertainment Weekly that Katarina Rostova (Lotte Verbeek) will return in "an unexpected way." Bokenkamp didn't divulge if Liz's (Megan Boone) supposedly dead mother would return in the present or in flashback scenes, but assured that Katarina's episode will be "really telling."

There are suspicions that Katarina is behind the attack on Red's life. Earlier seasons showcased signs that Katarina faked her own death and in the midseason finale, Red whispered something to Kirk (Ulrich Thomsen) that made the latter spare his life. Some are wondering whether or not Red revealed to Kirk that Katarina is still alive.

The entire team is on the hunt for Dembe. It will take Red eight weeks to get a big lead that will lead him to Dembe, which puts the events in real time with Season 4's return for its 16th episode in April.

Bokenkamp told EW that episode 16 is where Red puts Dembe "in the line of sight" and explains to the task force how dangerous he is. The episode will end the war between Red and Dembe, though that culmination wouldn't exactly wrap up Red's troubles in his organization.

The remaining episodes of "The Blacklist" Season 4 will force Red to "step back and reassess" what became of him and his empire. At this point, Red isn't the only one to blame for the collateral damage and the lives lost. The whole team also had a hand in it and they will all struggle with the "fractured" things.

A Season 5 renewal for "The Blacklist" is still in limbo. Season 4 averaged with a 1.07 rating in the crucial 18-49 demographic, according to The Cancel Bear. That standing puts the series in the middle of a renewal and cancellation by May 2017.

Some viewers think that Season 5 will serve as the last hurrah of "The Blacklist," while others predicted that the show would move to Friday if a fifth season pushes through.

"The Blacklist" resumes its fourth season on Thursday, April 20 with a two-hour episode. Do you believe that Katarina is the real mastermind behind Red's poisoning? What do you think of Season 5 getting a new time slot? Sound off in the comments section below!
