Carter (Corey Hawkins) and Grimes (Charlie Hofheimer) will meet up with the head of a smuggling ring in next week's episode of "24: Legacy." The spinoff doesn't come up short when it comes to delivering action-packed scenes, but some viewers are still not satisfied.

Carter and Grimes deal with the smuggling ring's leader is part of the duo's quest to locate the terrorists. Amira (Kathryn Prescott) and Khasan (Themo Melikidze), meanwhile, gets an unexpected visitor as the search for the leak makes headway.

Some fans are disappointed over Jack Bauer's (Kiefer Sutherland) absence on "24: Legacy." Acclaimed author Stephen King tweeted that it's "not the same without Jack Bauer twisting arms and giving head noogies."

King added that the spinoff series badly needs Chloe (Mary Lynn Rajskub), too. Another fan, meanwhile, misses Edgar (Louis Lombardi).

Sutherland is only in a producing capacity for "24: Legacy." The actor confirmed that he won't reprise his badass Jack Bauer role in the spinoff, though he also said that his character is "still out there" and "you never know what's going to happen." Via Twitter, Sutherland wished the spinoff's cast and crew good luck before the pilot aired earlier this month.

The spinoff series recently received criticisms for showing actual footage from a terrorist attack in the episode "3:00 PM - 4:00 PM." The clip came from a 2013 terror attack at the Westgate shopping mall in Nairobi, Kenya, where armed men fired guns at crowds at the mall.

Executive producers Evan Katz and Manny Coto have offered their regrets and apologized "for any pain caused to the victims and their families and are deeply sorry" for using the footage. They said that the clip was removed "from all future broadcasts and versions of the show," Deadline reported.

Viewers have condemned the show for the footage. One viewer tweeted that an African massacre was used "as US entertainment," while another asked the legality of the clip's usage. The attack, which happened on Sept. 13, 2013, claimed 67 lives and wounded more than 175. The extremist Islamic group al-Shabaab was responsible for the violence.
