The third season of "Narcos" is expected to debut on Netflix later this year. New cast members were already announced and photos from the set have been shared by the actors.

Miguel ángel Silvestre is among the recent additions to the show's roster. The Spanish actor confirmed his involvement on an Instagram post last month, showing off a page from the Season 3 script. He didn't mention any more details about his role, but it sure got fans excited for what's to expect.

Pedro Pascal is returning to "Narcos" Season 3 as Agent Javier Peña. Other recent cast additions include Kerry Bishé as Christina, an American with a Colombian husband involved in the Cali Cartel. The latter became the successor of Pablo Escobar's (Wagner Moura) Medellin Cartel in the drug trade after he was brought down by the police.

Michael Stahl-David and Matt Whelan will also star in the third season as DEA agents, Independent reported. Arturo Castro is portraying David Rodriguez, whose father Miguel (Francisco Denis) is one of the Cali Cartel's founders. David is hesitant on taking the leadership position of the cartel but he acquiesces when his father and uncle got imprisoned, according to Deadline.

The series has already been picked up for Seasons 3 and 4 last year. Showrunner Eric Newman told The Hollywood Reporter that the upcoming season will "look deeper into the systemic effects within Colombia of cocaine and corruption." Cali possesses a "different kind of protection" from the political and economic systems - as opposed to Escobar who was protected by the people who loved him.

Cali's operation -- founded by Miguel, Gilberto, Pacho Herrera (Alberto Ammann) and Chepe -- is more complex. Newman said that Cali was responsible for using Mexico as a drug smuggling route, which then led to influencing the Mexicans to enter the cocaine business. This means that "Narcos" could explore Mexican drug cartels, specifically Joaquín Guzmán a.k.a. El Chapo's Sinaloa.

Newman said that they are careful in introducing the El Chapo storyline. Although the show's official Twitter page already confirmed that they will "catch up" with the Mexican drug lord but they're still "taking notes" for the time being.

Silvestre has been sharing photos from the Season 3 set on Instagram lately. Check some of them out below.
