Pitbull is a known American rapper. He is famous for his albums and his hit single "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)" which took the number two spot in the US Billboard Hot 100. He is also known for his musical style and artistic prowess.

Which is why Pitbull has recently spoken at Palm Beach State College to voice out about STEAM. STEAM is different from STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics). STEAM has added Arts to its name.

During his talk at the Kravis Center, Pitbull joins the annual fund raiser to voice out his concern about STEAM and its future goals, as reported by West Palm Beach TV. The funds raised during the luncheon is going to fund student scholarships, business partnerships and internships for students who are focusing on careers in STEAM.

In previous years, STEM has always been the focus of a lot of organizations but there are many institutions who are looking into the inclusion of art and design and turn it into STEAM, as reported by STEM to STEAM. STEAM has been reportedly adopted by many already and is lead by the Rhode Island School of Design.

STEAM aims to place Art and Design at the center of STEM and encourage everyone to integrate art in K-20 education and influence companies and employers to hire artists and designers as they are considered to be innovators in the world, too.

One high school student from Dreyfoos School of the Arts says that the fund raising is a great thing to pursue when it comes to STEAM because it needs more awareness.

The foundation itself has already given out thousands of scholarships. Every year, about 2,200 students receive these scholarships. This year's speaker was Pitbull but previous year's speakers include actor John Lithgow and Danica Patrick.
