Following the formal presentation of the Nintendo Switch earlier this month, pre-orders of the gaming system went live. Wherein, if the sales of the Nintendo Switch end up anything like what was claimed by the Swedish retailer Webhallen, the Japanese tech company has an incredibly popular product on its hands, a commodity that could stand up to Microsoft and Sony in the marketplace.

The Swedish retailer did not only exhausted the console's pre-order allocation, it has received more pre-orders of the Nintendo Switch than it did for Sony's PlayStation 4. Unfortunately, the Swedish retailer did not provide the actual numbers. The fact that the Nintendo Switch appears to be outpacing the PS4 ahead of launch in Sweden, it might mean much as gamers are getting closer to the Nintendo Switch's official launch date, according to Nintendo Life.

The basic message that Nintendo's upcoming console is currently sold out reflects the situation in regions around the world. In the United States, the gaming system's pre-order limits were met within a day or two after being made available on Jan. 13. While in U.K., Nintendo Switch pre-order allotments were spoken for within a few days, and in Japan, websites tend to crash due to the demands.

On the other hand, Tomorrow Corporation has announced its plans to release classic indie games for Nintendo Switch, such as "Human Resource Machine," "Little Inferno" and the puzzle video game "World of Goo." The three games have been given a March 3 release date for the gaming console, which means the titles will be up for grabs for Nintendo Switch launch, Express reported.

As the video game developer announced the news on its blog, it has also planned to bundle the soundtracks to all three games. Nonetheless, pricing and potential bundle details of the video games are yet to be confirmed.
