Intel and AMD are close rivals when it comes to processor chips. This year, both will launch high-end processors so it is a good time to talk about AMD Ryzen vs Intel Kaby Lake.

The price will certainly be a major deciding factor in any talk regarding AMD Ryzen vs Intel Kaby Lake. AMD is expected to launch its Ryzen SR7 for a maximum of $500 each. Intel will certainly counter this move by selling their 10-core i7-7000 at a much reasonable price.

Intel's two models scheduled for release this year, the Intel Core i5 and Core i3 Kaby Lake have released their prices online and they look reasonable give their impressive specs. Those who want the Intel Kaby Lake quad core processors should brace themselves for a $150 to $300 price range. The lowest version has a 3.9 GHz base frequency while the most high-end version contains 4.2 GHz, as reported by PC Advisor.

Threading is another area that's sure to be mentioned in any conversation regarding AMD Ryzen vs Intel Kaby Lake. Intel's quad-core Hyper Threading support is the one that will be engineered in its models while AMD gives its users more options in this area. As it turns out, AMD Ryzen will support both Simultaneous Multi-Threading and Hyper-Threading which is a form of threading that allows each CPU core to process two threads at the same time, as reported by PC GamesN.

The release date is a factor that most don't think will affect the AMD Ryzen vs Intel Kaby Lake battle but it certainly will. AMD Ryzen chips is scheduled to be released sometime between February and March of this year while Intel will launch their high-end Skylake-X and Kaby Lake-X processors sometime in August.
