Recent reports claimed that Google is preparing to announce two new Android Wear 2.0 smartwatches by LG. Those devices are said to be the LG Watch Sport and LG Watch Style, and alleged images of the smartwatches have surfaced online this week.

The LG Watch Sport and LG Watch Style can be seen below, with the former as the black device and the latter as the gold-colored one. As you can see, the LG Watch Sport appears to have a rubber strap and a metallic body. The LG Watch Style seems to have a metallic build, too, though it may come with leather straps. However, it's also possible that the devices will be available in other strap options.

According to a recent report from TechnoBuffalo, the LG Watch Sport will be the flagship device with its bigger (1.38 inches), touch-sensitive higher-resolution screen (480 x 480), while the Style has a 1.2-inch display with 360 x 360 pixels.

The LG Watch Sport is also powered by a more robust RAM (768 MB) than the Style (512 MB). The Sport's battery capacity is also tougher than the Style's, clocking in at 430mAh versus its sister device's 240mAh.

Both devices are expected to have circular and plastic OLED displays and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. Cellular connectivity, 3G and LTE data, GPS and NFC radios are expected for the Sport model, too. NFC radios will allow the Sport to gain access to Android Wear 2.0's Android Pay.

The LG Watch Sport and Style are compatible with Apple's iOS and come with a digital crown button for navigation. The devices have Google Assistant integration and water and dust resistance (IP68 certification for the Sport and IP67 for the Style).

The LG Watch Sport will come with a heart rate sensor and untethered telephony thanks to its cellular parts. The untethered telephony can have the same phone number as the user's primary mobile device.

Smartwatches have several, notable benefits. The devices are said to be better at social etiquette, given that simply glancing at your wrist to check notifications is less blatant than checking your phone. Having your notifications at the comfort of your wrist also saves time and effort, Digital Spy noted.

Both the LG Watch Sport and Style are expected to be unveiled at Google's event on Feb. 9. That date will also see the launch of Android Wear 2.0, mobile reporter Evan Blass claimed on Twitter. What do you think of the devices so far? Share your thoughts below!
