Gearbox Software might get a great deal with Nintendo about upcoming action-packed first-person shooter video game, "Borderlands 3." The game developer has made some discussion with Nintendo about joining the Switch's launch date.

However, that talks have broken down, crushing Gearbox's hopes of getting a toehold on the upcoming game console. According to VG247, Gearbox Software has managed to make some discussion with Nintendo at some point but gone nowhere in the end.

Gearbox Software chief Randy Pitchford has made some comment on Twitter that he still open to any talks regarding the game.

The Gearbox boss also said on Twitter that Nintendo apparently had other priorities on the table. Gearbox has been disappointed about its recent talks with Nintendo. The shooter game is said to be a good fit for the upcoming game console.

The Switch will be officially launched on March 3, 2017, and the price will start at $299.99. During Nintendo official launch date, the company will be announcing a few number of third-party publishers, which would be releasing titles on the upcoming console

Reasons For The Failed Nintendo Game Port Still Unclear
Gearbox's Randy Pitchford, according to GameSpot, first confirmed "Borderlands 3" on April 2016 during the PAX East event. "Borderlands 3" has been originally announced on Jan. 2015, in which Pitchford referred to the game as the big one.

Game publisher Take-Two later stated that "Borderlands" is being developed specifically for next-generation, suggesting that it might come to PS4, Xbox One and PC.Until now, the reason for not having "Borderlands 3" on Nintendo Switch is still unclear.

"Borderlands 3" is said to be one of the freshest and stronger IPs in the gaming world today. The popular title has managed to sell millions of copies worldwide since it was launched in 2009.

Unfortunately, the game does not have a release date yet, as developers intend to focus more on its top priorities, instead of the sequel. "Borderlands 3" is rumored to be on development stage for unspecified gaming platforms.

The original plan was to start working and concentrate more on the once development of "Battleborn" and its DLC wraps up, but the crowd have not heard any updates on this for a while.
