Korean electronics giant Samsung is expected to launch the much-anticipated Samsung Galaxy S8 at Mobile World Congress (MWC 2017), which will be held in Barcelona next month. Samsung is taking advantage of the buzz and the crowd's strong anticipation, offering its Samsung Gear Fit 2 fitness wristband for free to Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge buyers in UK.

According to Tech Radar, Samsung is keen on milking the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7 and galaxy S7 Edge as much as possible, and that's exactly what the company is doing now. Samsung is currently offering its fitness wristband Samsung Gear Fit 2, which priced at £179, for free with every Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge buyers in the UK.

The fitness wristband promo would be available for Samsung Galaxy S7 buyers in the UK between January 12 and February 28. Once the person has been qualified, he will receive a confirmation from Samsung and the offering's promo code.

The said promo deal is also available for the smartphone that is bought on either online or in-store. The Samsung offer is said to last until March 28 of this year only.

Samsung Gear Fit 2 Hardware Specs
According to TechnoBuffalo, the Samsung Gear Fit2 is the company's latest fitness tracking wearable. The wearable, which is normally priced at $289, sports a 1.5-inch Super AMOLED display (216 x 432 resolution), a dual-core 1 GHz Exynos 3250 processor with a 4 GB of internal storage and 512MB of RAM. It comes with a 200mAh battery and it's an IP68 certified for water-resistance, which means that can be remained underwater for around 30 minutes at 1.5 meters deep.

The Samsung Gear Fit 2 has an integrated GPS and a heart rate sensor, which will allow users to track down all activity and information that is related to fitness. It also compatible with smartphones that have Android OS 4.4 and versions above, but with some limitation, a minimum of 1.5 GB of RAM is required.

The device will also be made compatible with the iOS-powered devices, provided that they run on at least an iOS 9 version.

But the most interesting thing about this wearable is that it's run on Samsung's Tizen operating system instead of Google's Android Wear. Tizen is a Linux-based operating system that works on a wide range of devices.
