Capcom's "Ultra Street Fighter 2: The Final Challengers" is one of the classic games coming to the Nintendo Switch, but the console's version of the game is both a throwback and a revamped experience. The upcoming version of the fighting game will come with a new mode and two new characters.

The two new "Ultra Street Fighter 2" characters on the Nintendo Switch are Evil Ryu and Violent Ken, according to Capcom's website. Violent Ken already appeared in the crossover fighting game titled "SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos."

Violent Ken is "the result of M. Bison kidnapping and brainwashing Ken." Psycho Power enhanced the character's abilities and turned his brotherly rivalry with Ryu "into hatred." Due to that change, Ken became "more ruthless, aggressive, and fearless with moves that feature purple flames instead of his signature fire."

Ryu's new "Ultra Street Fighter 2" version, meanwhile, has totally surrendered to the Satsui no Hado and is "now obsessed with fighting in order to prove he is the strongest." Gone is Ryu's former honorable persona and he's now an individual who enjoys "absolute power" and possesses an "unquenchable bloodthirst for battle."

Despite these new character additions, Nintendo Switch's "Ultra Street Fighter 2" version will still feature the original game's fighters and bosses.

Nintendo Switch's "Ultra Street Fighter 2" now has a new mode that will allow players to team up in 2v1 fights against computer opponents. The updated classic arcade mode, on the other hand, grants players the abilities to pick between pixel-art graphics or UDON Entertainment's HD graphics.

The former resolution is, of course, transports players through time and takes them back to the game's early 90s version with the pixelated, square resolution. The latter's modernized mode, meanwhile, shows fights on widescreen with a smoother and crisper quality.

Capcom said that "Ultra Street Fighter 2" can be played at-home or on-the-go through Nintendo Switch TV, Tabletop and Handheld modes. There's a brand new single-player and multiplayer modes, though players have to wait for more information about those modes along with the game's official price and release date. The Nintendo Switch will be released globally on March 3, 2017 for $300, IGN noted.
