Most fans and avid gamers alike are highly anticipating the arrival of the latest console to join the plethora of gaming platforms this year. With it, more and more rumors have been popping up from left and right regarding the release date and price of the upcoming Nintendo Switch, which was purportedly leaked by a gaming outlet. Moreover, these same fans are on the edges of their seats as the Treehouse livestream of the next-gen console is about to commence in just a few days, according to sources.

It was recently reported that the pricing and release date for the upcoming Nintendo Switch has been leaked, albeit the fact that the company itself has never announced anything official as of date, Shacknews learned.

It was stated therein that a UK gaming outlet, that goes by the name GameSeek, have posted a product listing of the highly-anticipated Nintendo Switch. As such, it was suggested therein that the console will be slated for a mid-March release date, on the 17th to be exact.

Along with this detail comes the price listing by the gaming outlet which suggests that the Nintendo Switch will be available for preorder for around 244 US dollars. That being said, the source speculated that the leaked information and suggested release date might be plausible since both the console and one of its debuting title, "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild," are both expected to be launched in March.

In other news, fans can be certain about one thing-- the Treehouse livestream by Nintendo will be starting in just a few days, Polygon noted. It was said that the company will be airing a special installment that will focus on the Nintendo Switch.

The Nintendo Switch event will be having its livestream via Twitch and YouTube on Jan. 13, which is right after Nintendo's much awaited press conference has culminated. The Treehouse livestream will be dedicated to the games that will be featured in the next-gen console.
