Good news to all Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners. The Steam Client Beta has just received an update patch that will allow both consoles be added on the Steam controller configurator.

The Steam Beta patch has granted the native Xbox console controllers access to advanced mapping features. With the Steam's support on Xbox One controllers that's rolling out soon, players will be able combine specific DualShock 4 buttons, analog stick and triggers. They will also have the ability to map multiple button presses. According to Game Spot, these functions have been introduced to PS4 controllers back in 2016.

In addition, the Steam Beta update will enable players to use any gamepads and the ability to save profile to a specific controller. In this way, users will not have to configure every time they plug the controller.

While the Steam Configurator support for Xbox One and Xbox 360 have not rolled out yet, players can opt to use the Steam Beta client. They can select Steam Beta update in the Beta Participation section under the controller settings, Digital Trends reported. Players can secure access without being left behind once the update patch starts to roll out. Players are encouraged to wait for details when the patch will take effect.

Meanwhile, Xbox One's the Backwards Compatibility feature gained popularity after players played game titles intended for the Xbox 360. For Xbox One owners are looking forward to the upcoming Backwards Compatibility game titles. However, the developing team still hasn't released any list of the Backwards Compatibility game but only said that this month will be interesting.
