After months of endless talks and speculations, BioWare's adventure third-person shooter game "Mass Effect: Andromeda" will finally have its much-awaited release date. BioWare has finally answered all questions and inquiries of Andromeda fans. The developer confirmed that "Mass Effect: Andromeda" will officially hit the screen on March 21, 2017, the same date that Microsoft previously leaked.

The release date was first posted on the Microsoft Xbox Live Rewards page, alongside two titles "Injustice 2" and "Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3," according to The Express.

Mass Effect: Andromeda to feature new protagonist named Ryder
"Mass Effect: Andromeda," the long-awaited sequel to the BioWare's sci-fi game series Mass Effect is finally coming to PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, The Verge reported.

BioWare has released some new footages of "Mass Effect: Andromeda" during the Nvidia CES 2017 keynote that showed the player launching jets of flame at their enemies and battling robots.

Aside from new weapons, planets and aliens, the next installment will feature a new protagonist, a character named Ryder. According to the developer, the game will feature an open world and characters will explore the eponymous galaxy, seeking planets to colonize 600 years after the tumultuous ending of the first three Mass Effect games in the Andromeda Galaxy.

Ryder will be tasked with one important mission -- to discover new planets to colonize for the human race. Ryder will explore the galaxy aboard the new starship Tempest.

With those footages and a few brief snippets of gameplay, not much information is known about the space adventure game since its first official release in 2013. BioWare has always been on silence when it comes to "Mass Effect: Andromeda" release date.

Andromeda fans would see more of the game at the Consumer Electronics Show later this week, according to GameSpot.

"Mass Effect: Andromeda" is slated for release this coming March 21, 2017.
