Bruce Springsteen is known as a singer and song writer, a New Jersey local and is often called "The Boss." He is known for his distinctive New Jersey vocals and poetic lyrics. This coming January 10, 2017, Springsteen is heading to New Jersey's Monmouth University.

The artist is coming home for a short while to attend a Tuesday talk which will be held at the Pollak theater. The event will be hosted by Bob Santelli. Santelli is the Grammy Museum's executive director. He will be sitting down with Bruce Springsteen as the moderator of the event to have an intimate conversation about his career.

Grammy Museum's involvement in this event is not a strange thing because Monmouth University is an affiliate of the museum. The university itself is the home of the Bruce Springsteen Special Collection. The collection houses a huge array of Springsteen paraphernalia. There are over 35,000 Springsteen artifacts since 2011. Imagine a whole lot of books, concert merchandise and Springsteen promo materials, as reported by The Philadelphia Inquirer.

The musician is coming to New Jersey after his book tour. Springsteen has been touring around the country to promote his new autobiography book titled "Born to Run" which was released in September 2016. The book focuses on Bruce Springsteen's childhood while in New Jersey and also revolves around his career and personal challenges, as reported by The Oklahoman.

He is entirely familiar with Monmouth. He was born at the Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey and lived in the Freehold Borough. Growing up and attending school, he said he only wanted to play his guitar.

Anyone who wants to see Springsteen in person can head on to Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey at 7:30 PM on Tuesday. Tickets can be purchased at $75 online at Tickets.com and no by phone. However, passes are limited to two for every household.
