Jeremy Jordan's Winn Schott has undergone huge changes recently on "Supergirl." He has left CatCo and now works at the Department of Extranormal Operations under the supervision of director Hank Henshaw/J'Onn J'Onzz (David Harewood).

Winn's career change is bigger than it seems. Jordan teased that his character's new job will explore more of his personality.

According to the actor, "Supergirl" viewers will see Winn "as a person through how he handles his business and his confrontations" with James Olsen (Mehcad Brooks), who's now donning a costumed vigilante identity called The Guardian, Comicbook.com reported. Winn became James' assistant and technical adviser since the latter decided to help Supergirl/Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) get rid of National City's baddies.

Jordan believes that Winn is one of the "more rational characters around" and he prioritizes everybody's well-being and "how things work out." Winn's personal life didn't receive huge focus in past "Supergirl" episodes. He pursued - and was turned down - by Kara, and then proceeded to have a short-lived romance with Siobhan Smythe (Italia Ricci) before she became the villain Silver Banshee.

Jordan said that Winn's personal life will remain in the sidelines on "Supergirl" -- at least for now. However, the character has plenty of adventures coming his way thanks to his job at the DEO, though he will also deal with his uncomfortable feelings about Kara and Mon-El's (Chris Wood) growing romance.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly in November, Jordan said that Kara and Mon-El's deepening bond would reignite Winn's feelings for Superman's cousin. The actor pointed out that Kara and Winn didn't really dealt with the latter's romantic feelings and they sort of "swept it under the rug" and avoided each other.

DC TV fans will get a kick out of a recent announcement from Geoff Johns, president and chief creative officer of DC Comics. On Jan. 1, Johns revealed via Twitter that a new superhero show will be joining "Supergirl," "The Flash," "Arrow" and "Legends of Tomorrow" on the network.

More details will be announced soon. It's still unknown if the upcoming superhero show will continue the Arrow-verse or if it's going to be another comic book property, according to EW.
