Every year, almost everyone sets out determined to make resolutions and stick to them throughout the year. One of the agenda for 2017 has something to do with career-related changes, a study suggests.

According to Business News Daily, a study from Spherion Staffing revealed that making big changes and steps related to career is one of the plans of more than 60 percent of American employees. Sandy Mazur, Spherion Division president explained that because it is the new year, employees consider it a perfect time to evaluate how happy they are with their current career and jobs, and think about the improvement they'd like to make about their present professional situations.

Aside from this, Business Insider also cited a few more resolutions that are popular to many employees and workers this year. This is based on the CareerBuilder survey conducted online by Harris Poll. Here are some them, and you may also find your own personal resolutions from this list.

Saving more money

This is one of the top most resolutions made this year, which is actually really possible because spending and saving depends on a person's mindset. With the right mindset and motivation, you can spend less and save more and reduce your debts.

Becoming less stressed

While stress is inevitable, this is one of the goals of many employees given the fact that stress is known to take a toll on anyone suffering from it. Chronic stress can negatively impact a person's health condition and can cause serious illnesses which is why it is something that's worth paying close attention to.

Getting promoted

30 percent of the respondents were found to aim for a promotion this year.

Going for the healthier food options at work

The workplace can be full of tempting junks which can be detrimental to health and 28 percent of the respondents to the survey are actually beginning to look into going for the healthier food options.

Learning something new

More than a quarter of the participants to the survey are showing interest in taking more courses and trainings to expand their knowledge and skills, and you should to. After all, you should not stop learning if your goal is to be successful in your career.
