Supercell's mobile hit MMO strategy game "Clash of Clans" is facing its biggest challenge ever. The viral mobile game has been blocked in Iran for promoting violence and tribal conflict. But some early reports suggest that Iranian President Rouhani and Communication Minster might help lift the ban on "Clash of Clans."

According to TechCrunch, the Ministry of Justice of Iran has decided to block "Clash of Clans" and has ordered restrictions citing a recent report from psychologists. The report claimed that the mobile game encouraged violence and tribal conflict. The report also state that the viral mobile game negatively affects family life for teenagers, who got addicted to the game.

The Iranian government took action after the government Committee for Determining Instances of Criminal Content made the decision and final recommendation to remove "Clash of Clans" from the circulation.

The ban can still be removed

According to TechRasia, the Iranian officials have been working hard to solve the issue. The Minister of communication has recently made a statement, suggesting that he is looking into the game's current situation. The high-ranking official has even brought the subject up with Iranian President Rouhani to solve the issue.

Reports said that the Iranian cabinet has a different strategy in dealing with these kinds of cyberspace issues. The cabinet believes that they should work on creating good content domestically instead of issuing a restriction or banning to a mobile app.

This is not the first time that Iran experienced this kind of issues. The Persian country has a history of taking action against popular video games, including the widely popular Pokemon Go game. Last year, the Iranian government has cut off the augmented reality game Pokemon Go because of security concerns about the game's location-based system.

Launched in 2012, "Clash of Clans" is a freemium MMO strategy mobile game that has been developed by Finnish firm Supercell for iOS and Android platforms.
