The jailbreak community has been disappointed by the unstable iOS 10.1 crack from Luca Todesco. However, a recent report suggests that the jailbreak tool for iOS 10.2 could hit soon.

iOS 10.2 jailbreak could be released soon, according to Stefan Esser

Stefan Esser has been a well-known person in the jailbreaking community. According to the German security researcher, iOS 10.1 jailbreak issue isn't that big given that the jailbreak for iOS 10.2 will be out soon. It can be argued that Esser might be developing a tool to break the restriction in Apple's latest firmware or he just teases new software coming from another hacker.

When a follower asked who claimed it, Esser refused to spill any name by saying that he's not allowed to tell.

iOS 10.1 jailbreak is unstable, and shouldn't be installed

Luca Todesco surprisingly released iOS 10.1 jailbreak called Yalu, as reported by CultofMac, but it comes with a price.

The semi-untetherred jailbreak needs user to re-do the procedure every time the iPhone is rebooted. Todesco himself has claimed that the version is unstable and the Forbes has even described the tool as 'not quite slick'.

This has made iPhone 7 users wait patiently for Pangu iOS 10.2 jailbreak tool, which many sources have reported its imminent release. However, with the words coming from Esser, it is probably safe to assume that Pangu won't be releasing any crack soon.

If Esser's statement is to be believed, this will be the first time an iOS official jailbreak is created by a different team other than Pangu.

Beware of the iOS 10.2 jailbreak websites

It is acceptable to wait for the latest iOS 10 jailbreak to be available but users have to be aware of the unauthorized websites that claim they have the jailbreak tool for the said iOS version. Currently, there is no official iOS 10.2 jailbreak being released by any party.
