"Super Mario Run" has earned millions in its first three days of availability on the iOS App Store. The Nintendo game has been downloaded more than 50 million times already and that alone is a cause for celebration. That milestone made the developer offer free gifts to players, but the performance of "Super Mario Run" isn't all sunshine and rainbows lately.

Upon launching "Super Mario Run" on their Apple devices, players will be rewarded with 10 free Toad Rally tickets, Game Rant reported. Rally Tickets are a requirement in the game's Toad Rally mode in which players can race against the ghosts of other players, earn more coins and perform better styles in a specific amount of time.

To get Rally Tickets in "Super Mario Run," players should collect special coins in World Tour mode or by finishing My Nintendo achievements. The free tickets were made available on Dec. 23 after Nintendo announced the game's 50 million downloads, according to Gamespot.

The free tickets are announced as more players refuse to pay for "Super Mario Run," which currently has a hefty $9.99 price tag exclusively on iOS devices. It should be noted that the game still sits among the highest grossing apps in the iOS App Store, but its recent decline has become alarming.

"Super Mario Run" quickly snatched the top grossing iOS app honor in the United States and the rest of the world when it was launched on Dec. 15. The game remains as a top five grossing app in 23 countries and the top 10 in 47 countries, but that steep drop in just two weeks is disheartening and it probably has to do with its $9.99 cost, a price that unlocks all of the game's levels, Android Authority noted.

Data from Apptopia found that the conversion rate for "Super Mario Run" is only one to two percent. Basically, just a few players out of a hundred purchased the game for $9.99. There are beliefs that the conversion rate would increase to 10 percent if the full game's price gets reduced to $2.

A new game mode called Friendly Run will be released on "Super Mario Run." In that mode, players will be able to compete against others on their friends' list without the need of Rally Tickets. Friendly Run is entirely dependent on the number of courses that a player completed in World Tour mode.
