Chainfire has released its latest SuperSu version 2.79 advancing more Superuser access rights for the apps on the android device that need root. The recovery flashable zip file is now available for download.

Android Soul has also provided links for SuperSU 2.79 zip and links of the Superuser Android Application Package (APK) file. It installs and flashes any Android device with a custom recovery like TWRP installed to get root access. What this means is that one can flash the SuperSu zip via a custom recovery and get root access on any Android device.

It can be recalled that SuperSu is a super user manager app by developer Chainfire, which manages root permissions on the Android device once it is rooted. Features of the SuperSu include: Superuser access prompt, Superuser access logging, Superuser access notifications, Per-app notification configuration, temporary unroot, as well as giving deep process detection (no more unknowns).

APKSFree.com reported that it also works in recovery (no more segfaulting), works when Android isn't properly booted, works with non-standard shell locations, it always runs in ghost mode, wake on promtpt, and backup script to survive CyanogenMod nightlies. For Pro version it offers, OTA survival mode, full color-coded command content logging, per-app logging configuration, per-app user override, grant/deny root to an app for a set amount of time, PIN protection, and adjust auto-deny countdown.

The source added, that should a user do not like the app, it reminded that uninstalling it needs more process. It emphasized that Superuser access management runs through a so called "su binary." This means that there can only be one of these at a time.

So if you install SuperSU, the previous superuser access management solution will no longer operate. Here is the step by step process of the installation: firstly, open the application, and search for an option for it to install/update/replace the "su binary," secondly, confirm root-using apps using the superuser solution, and lastly uninstall SuperSU.
