With the Harley Quinn character taking one of the few bright spots in "The Suicide Squad," DC has decided a "Harley Quinn" movie would be a good idea. To top it all off, "Sucide Squad" director David Ayer will be the one calling the shots.

The "Harley Quinn" movie, according to Comicbook.com, will be titled "Gotham City Sirens" which is a DC comic book series created by Guillem March and Paul Dini. It had a total of 26 issues running from June 2009 until August 2011. The two other main characters are Poison Ivy and Catwoman but the comics also had other villains pop up like Talia, Riddler, Joker, Dick Grayson and Zatanna.

David Ayer, according to Express, sent out a tweet that had the image of Poison Ivy, Catwoman and Harley Quinn. At first, it was thought the "Harley Quinn" movie was going to be all about her but now, it has been confirmed that she will be with Catwoman and Poison Ivy. Nobody has been tapped to play the roles of Poison Ivy and Catwoman but that did not stop fans to voice out their opinions including one artist who drew Megan Fox as Poison Ivy and Odette Annable as Catwoman.

There has been no plot announced but the comics had the origin of the Harley Quinn movie. Catwoman was visibly shaken after being attacked by Boneblaster because she thought Batman left. Poison Ivy helped Catwoman and restored her back to health. Harley was coincidentally living at Ivy's and she came up with a bright idea that the three of them start a team and Gotham City Sirens was born.

There has been no release date announced for this movie but expect it to be released within the next couple of years. Check out this video with an inside look at the new Harley Quinn movie:
