Activision Blizzard's first-shooter game "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" is facing a tough battle, and it's losing that battle miserably. The first-shooter game is about to come to an end, according to the latest rumors.

According to GameRant, physical sales of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare in the US has declined nearly 50 percent in the month of November of this year.

As a result, the developer's market shares were down about 20 percent from mid-October highs. Investors are said to be getting worried about the poor launch sales from this year's "Call of Duty" game.

This might be due to the lack of Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" game, according to CNBC. Unfortunately, sales of the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the first shooter game are also under siege, down 43 percent when compared to last year's data.

Launched on November 4, 2016, "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" is a first- shooter video game developed and published by Activision Blizzard. The game is the thirteenth entry in the "Call of Duty" series.

"Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" is falling behind
Although the game's complete sales numbers are not publicly available, but there are already signs that Infinite Warfare is on the decline. The figures tell the whole story.

Perhaps Call of Duty is having some trouble competing in the fast-evolving gaming market. It's a new world out there, gaming is different now than it was 10 years ago. Staying alive could be tough these days, it requires not just formidable resources and talents, but also focus.

Meanwhile, more focused games like TitanFall, Diablo, and Overwatch have really captured the attention of gamers across the globe.

Learning from MOBAs, and other first-shooter games, Overwatch has mastered the art of mixing colorful characters with a gameplay and a community focus that has lead to Nintendo-style of fan art produced for most of its characters. It not just accessible, it also provides lots of fun. And more importantly, it centered around online, objective-based play. The kind of things that most players are looking for.

Survival is the new name of the game. To survive, they need to become more agile and flexible, not just bigger. The game has an image problem and Activision Blizzard need to address it if they want to stay in the gaming market.
