There were so many good movies that came out this year and anyone would be up to tasks if asked to narrow down the best movies of 2016. A number of factors have to be considered including box office performance, direction and acting.

A lot of movie fans anticipated "The Suicide Squad" as the ultimate supervillain movie but it was warmly welcomed by critics. It was still one of the best movies of 2016 because of the performances of Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn and Will Smith as Deadshot. Jared Leto's portrayal of Joker ended up stealing the show and Ben Affleck manages to squeak in a cameo as Batman.

"La La Land", according to IGN, is the best reviewed movie of the year and that automatically makes it one of the best movies of 2016. Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling star in this drama about people who chase their dreams in the city of Los Angeles.

"Train to Busan", according to Collider, got non-horror fans excited about a zombie movie that this deserved mention as one of the best movies of 2016. Writer-director Sang Ho Yeon took the concept of "zombies on a train" and made it very entertaining that everyone was at the edge of their seat while watching this classic. They give us characters we actually cared about including Dong-seok Ma's Sang Hwa, the tough dad who will do whatever it takes to protect his wife and child.

"Deadpool" shocked everyone when it garnered a total of $363070709 in the box office despite being an R-rated comic book-based movie. Ryan Reynolds' portrayal of Wade Wilson a smart-talking mercenary, who ended up in the wrong side of an experiment, earned him praises from critics and fans. Despite not having bankable stars on its cast, Deadpool is one movie that's worth mentioning as one of the best movies of 2016.
