The Google Pixel-exclusive fingerprint gestures feature of Android 7.0 Nougat is rumored to be added to Nexus 6P, Galaxy S7 and other handsets. While it is possible for Nexus and Galaxy handsets, will it also be possible for Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus? Find out the truth here!

Fingerprint Gestures of Android Nougat Coming to Galaxy S7

Fingerprint gestures featured in Android 7.0 Nougat is supposed to be Google Pixel-exclusive, however, some developments reported that the feature is rumored to make a debut in Samsung Galaxy S7, Android Headlines reported. According to the publication site, the gestures are utilized more efficiently due to the fingerprint sensor situated at the back of Google-made Pixel phones e.g. users swipes down the fingerprint scanner to access the notification bundle.

Samsung was asked by the users to include the functionality of the sensor on their Android 7.0 Nougat beta works for Galaxy S7 but tech firm said that they are currently working on the improvement of the Fingerprint Scanner. For this reason, users concluded that fingerprint gestures are likely to arrive together with the public release if Android Nougat or have the functionality available for the upcoming Galaxy S8.

Fingerprint Gestures of Android Nougat to Nexus 6P

The fingerprint gesture from Google Pixel phones are expected to land first to its predecessor the Nexus 6P, however, it never happened. Despite Google leaving out fingerprint gestures from Nexus 6P, report says that the handset has an alternative gesture-control called "Double Tap Wake" where users double tap the device twice to turn it on according to some reports.

Android Nougat Rolled Out to Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus

The two Motorola best phones of 2016 are reportedly started receiving Android Nougat updates for users residing in India. However, there are no over-the-air updates reported from the users residing in the United States according to Droid Life.

Accordingly, Android Nougat update for Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus brings enhancements to the following aspects: productivity, performance, notifications, usability, accessibility, authentication and internationalization. However, similar to Nexus 6P, Nougat updates also added the double tap wake feature and not the fingerprint gestures.
