The Xiaomi Rednote 4 was launched in China last August while rumors say that it will hit India by mid-January, prompting speculations on when the Chinese smartphone makers intend to bring their mid-range phones with high-end specs to US shores. After Xiaomi officially announced its participation in the Consumers Electronics Show (CES) 2017, the Xiamoi mi5 will most likely debut, but the Redmi Note 4 may make a surprise revelation yet.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 was successfully launched back in August and the Chinese may be bringing the device to India by January 2017. Observers believe that the Chinese may also bring a modified Redmi Note 4 into US shores during CES 2017 just like what the company did in last year's CES.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has a 5.5-in. full HD display and a 2.5D curved screen, a small curvature featured prominently among high-end Samsung devices. It also features a pixel density of 401 ppi. It comes in various variants of RAM like the 2B, 3GB and 4GB and storage capacities of 16Gb and 32GB, which can be expanded to 128GB via microSD card.

Like the predecessor of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, the device also boasts of a 4,100mAh battery capacity. It supports Dual SIM with Hybrid SIM card slot, 4G with VoLTE, GPS, Bluetooth, Micro-USB, and infra-Red port according to Tech 2.

Moreover, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has the Android 6.0 Marsmallow out-of-the-box and the MIUI skin atop it. As to camera, it has a 13MP main camera and a 5MP selfie camera.

The Xiaomi Redmit Note 4 also has fingerprint scanner and comes in three colors, Silver, Gold and Dark Grey. While the Chinese models have the MediaTek Helio x20 chipset, the Indian variant may be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 due to a court injuction banning the Chinese to use MediaTek in India.

What makes the Xiamoi Redmi Note 4 a potential favorite among 2017 smartphones is that its high-end specs come at very budget-friendly price with an estimated cost of $179.99 dollars for the 16GB and $239.99 dollars for the 64GB.

As to what Xiaomi will unveil in CES 2017, speculations are rife that it will bring the Xiaomi Mi Mix that took the online community by storm with its almost non-existent bezels. However, the Chinese tech giant has other products like the VR headset, smartwatch or tablets, any of which might debut at CES according to BGR.

For now Americans will just have to wait what Xiaomi has to offer to the US market. In the meantime, Xiaomi is committing all efforts into the launching of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 in India early next year.
