Developer Bethesda Studio has been very busy these past few months and has confirmed a sixth installment to "The Elder Scrolls" series. However, the growing popularity of Virtual Reality technology on the gaming world has force Bethesda to shift course and head for the "Fallout 4" VR development.

Though there isn't much detailed information on the company's "Fallout 4" VR version, as Bethesda decided to maintain radio silence. Bethesda also has its hands full improving on "The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim", something that shelves the planned for the sequel. Fans are encouraged to maintain patience until Bethesda is ready to start working on a new game.

As previously announced, Bethesda is committed to making VR work on every game it made and If the "Fallout 4" VR version succeeds, then there's a big chance that this gaming technology will also be adopted to the sequel "The Elder Scrolls 6."

"The Elder Scrolls 6" Release Date Delayed
Bethesda's Todd Howard has already confirmed plans for a sequel. However, Howard told fans not to expect too much, as the developer is currently not considering the sequel as a top priority project.
Currently, the upcoming sequel "The Elder Scrolls 6" is largely overshadowed by other Bethesda projects, which include the planned VR version of the "Fallout 4" VR edition and the works on "Fallout 5."

This delays its development and puts its possible target release date around the ballpark of 2019, since it takes at least two years for the game developer to develop a game, according to Video Games Republic.

Additionally, "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" is still going strong, so there still no need for a sequel. This also means that Bethesda is still working on improving the existing game than planning for a sequel. Building a new game would definitely not a top choice for Bethesda for now, considering the cost of development and the resources needed to pull the project. Not to mention the significant amount of time and manpower needed in the game development.

"The Elder Scrolls 6" might be coming but on 2017 or 2018, as the company is still not prepared for another round big-budget game development.

Developed and published by Bethesda Studios, "The Elder Scrolls" is a role-playing world fantasy game series is known for its focus on free-form gameplay.
