It looks like the science fiction show "Limitless" will never see another season as it has been dropped from CBS Television Studio's line up. In an official announcement made by "Limitless" executive producer Craig Sweeney in May, he reported that the show will no longer continue on any platform and that he was grateful for those who have patronized to watch it.

Sad as it may seem, "Limitless" had a promising initial run back then gathering stellar ratings and reviews, however, show ratings plummeted in the second half of the first season and has not recovered since then, Yibada has learned.

Because of the ugly ratings and its lack of ability to reach out the audience urged CBS to cut it off from its line up. According to itechpost, in a desperate hope that the show will still push through, producer and recurring cast member Bradley Cooper was believed to have been endlessly negotiating the airing of the series to other networks, even rumors circulating that he was discussing it with Lady Gaga since the two celebrities became close as both will team up in a big movie called "A Star Is Born."

Reports also claimed that CBS Television Studios offered "Limitless" to Amazon and Netflix but both streaming services refused to pick up the show for another season. Many are speculating that these firms turned down the offer because of the NZT drugs issues that are featured in the story line, which is considered as dangerous to one's life, hence, patronizing the show will not be beneficial to the watchers especially the young ones, Yibada reported.

With this development, some reports disclosed that some Netflix subscribers have threatened to withdraw their subscription if the show will be cancelled, so now it is expected that Netflix will be experiencing exodus of "Limitless" fans in its subscription since the show has already been cancelled.

Sweeney, on the other hand, poured out his thoughts and would be plans for Season 2 of "Limitless" but it is just sad to note that no network yet is willing to buy its rights from CBS. However, Yibada reported that CBS president Glenn Geller was discussing potential buyers in the hopes of saving the show, but through a different platform.
