Studying abroad might not have crossed the mind of many students because they think it's expensive. However, it must come as a surprise that a lot of cities in other parts of the world are actually cheaper than most cities in the United States. A report compared the cost of living, tuition, and housing of 22 global universities around the world. Here's the top 5 cheapest cities in the list.

Berlin

According to the World Student Housing 2015, a student can spend $1000 tops every month in Berlin. That's including your food, accommodation, transportation, and others. The best place to start looking if you're considering it Germany is the Free University of Berlin. What more, you'll have your fill of good beer.

Taipei

Taipei is a bustling city with all the modern amenities you can find in any developed country. It also has the the National Taiwan University which is always in the Top 100 universities of the world. What more, the tuition fees are set to around $3,000.

Kuala Lumpur

You might not have thought about Malaysia but if you're avoiding getting drowned in student loans, then Kuala Lumpur is one of the best places to consider. It also has international branches of some of the best universities in the world, which means you can get the same qualifications for a much lower price.

Valencia

When Spain is in your mind, don't head to Barcelona. Instead, go to Valencia where tuition fees are just around $1250 a year. Moreover, the cost of living is also cheap. Check out the Polytechnic University of Valencia to start with.

Warsaw

Poland is opening up its arms to international students. There are already a handful of them in Warsaw. The cost of tuition is around $2,300 a year and the cost of living expenses is also very low by European standards.
