Samsung Galaxy S8 is rumored to have the Exynos 8895. It is also rumored that the Mali-G71 is more powerful than the Snapdragon 830.

Samsung Galaxy S8 to have Exynos 8895?

Some new details have been revealed for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8, which is reportedly going to have a 10nm chipset called the Exnos 8895 SoC. The details came from a set of leaked documents that contained the phone manufacturer's fabrication process for the 14nm and 10nm chips. According to the official Korean website of Daum, the Samsung senior official was planning to sell the documents to competitor brands, which were based in China.

If the Galaxy S8 will get the Exynos 8895, then it will have ARM's new Mali-G71, which is the successor to the Mali-T880. This GPU will be 1.8 times more powerful than its predecessor and it will focus on graphics-intensive processing, which can handle high-end 4K and virtual reality content. It might also utilize the new Bitfrost architecture from ARM.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Mali-G71 details

According to the official website of ARM, the Mali-G71 was developed to satisfy the needs of the new industry advancements like the Vulkan cross-platform graphics API from Khronos. It can also handle the advanced mobile virtual reality experience. It was designed specifically to make significant improvements and power efficiency to work perfectly with the mobile virtual reality platforms.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Mali-G71 better than upcoming Snapdragon 830?

With Samsung Galaxy S8 having the Mali-G71, it might become more powerful than the devices that might incorporate the upcoming Snapdragon 830 chipset. If the rumor is true, it will be the first time that the ARM chipset will outperform the Qualcomm ones in the GPU race. It was also reported that the Exynos 8895 will be clocked all the way up to 3 GHz.
