Samsung has done a good job upgrading its Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) over its previous version. Critics and users have praised this model and can only use kind words like "beautifully crafted" to describe it.

The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016), according to PC Advisor, is cheaper than last year's Galaxy S6. The Galaxy S6 is actually faster and has more internal storage which probably explains why it carries a heavier price tag.

According to GSM Arena, the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) has metal sides with small bumps at each of the four corners. This improves the overall grip on the phone which gives you more security that it won't fall off your hands all of a sudden. The metal sides also hide the thickness of the phone and the black glass border on the left and right is very thin.

Compared to its 2014 version, this year's Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) has a much sharper screen, making a huge leap from 720p to 1080p. The home key is now a fingerprint reader too. Speaking of the home key, it is not accompanied by the capacitive App Switcher and Back keys which lost the option for a longer backlight. The front screen also includes a 5MP selfie camera which allows a better picture because of its wider aperture than before. It should also help with night selfies because of its f/2.2 to f/1.9m jump.

The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) has a microSD slot and it is also a DualSIM phone meaning you can have two SIMs at the same time or a SIM and a microSD. Its camera is also 13MP which allows for better picture quality than its predecessor.

Most important of them all, The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) has posted an endurance rating of 91 hours with just one SIM. If both SIM slots are occupied, it dropped down to 77 hours but the standby battery draw remained low.
