Contrary to rumors, Samsung did not kill the flagship Note brand, Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is coming. Following the Galaxy Note 7's debacle, everything is riding on the Note 8's success.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 specs and features

Expected to come with better safety features than is predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is also expected to carry impressive specifications and massive features to compensate for its last failure. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is set for release in 2017, the 5.7-inch smartphone features 1440 x 2560 pixel display.

Rumors also abound saying it might also come with a 4K Super AMOLED display due to the growing popularity of VR, according to PCAdvisor. It is also expected that Samsung Galaxy Note 8 run Android Nougat 7.0 right out of the box.

The Galaxy Note 7 came with 4GB of RAM, while many in its class are equipped with 6GB of RAM, it is expected that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 to follow the trend by having 6GB or exceed expectations by having 8GB. It would come powered either by a Snapdragon 830 or the Exynos 8895 processor as suggested by rumors and an ARM Mali-G71 GPU.

The anticipated camera for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 includes a dual-lens camera that got photo snappers excited as it is reported to be 30-megapixels. The phone would also feature an iris scanner and a digital assistant that will rival Siri and Cortana reportedly to be called Bixby.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 - winning back customer trust

Samsung Galaxy Note 8's incendiary guise took a lot of toll on the Korean tech giant not only financially but much more importantly trust and confidence of its customers. Without a doubt, Samsung has got a lot riding on the release of the Galaxy Note 8.

Pundits point that Samsung tried to achieve more for the Note 7 in less time that might have contributed to its downfall. The battery was tasked so much that it gave in to its cramped placement, to put it simply, the battery was too big for the phone. Users would also want removable batteries for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.

At this juncture, Samsung must prove itself in the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 that safety precautions are well in place. It could also re-christen the phone to another name without killing the Note brand. Samsung already had a Note 8 among its ranks back in 2013 on a tablet.
