A partnership between Toei Animation Inc., Funimation Entertainment and Adult Swim is bringing "Dragon Ball Super" beginning January next year.

Adult Swin will begin airing the U.S. English dub of "Dragon Ball Super" Season 1 on Toonami block starting Jan. 7, 2017, at 8 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. ET. "Dragon Ball Super" Season 1 has a total of 26 episodes that covers "Battle of the Gods" and the Ressurection 'F' story arcs, Crunchyroll reported.

The Voice cast for the English dub of "Dragon Ball Super" features veteran voice actors from the previous series that includes Seán Schemmel (Goku), Christopher R. Sabat (Vegeta), Jason Douglas (Beerus), Ian Sinclair (Whis) and Sonny Strait (Krillin), according to ComicBook. Alongside this release, Funimation also began making the English subtitled version of "Dragon Ball Super" available.

"Dragon Ball Super" kicks off after Goku's fierce battle with Majin Buu, as he attempts to keep peace on Earth. "Dragon Ball Super" draws in its 30-year history will be overseen by series creator, Akira Toriyama, who hopes the series will bring in new viewers as well as endear the series more to fans.

Furthermore, A Dragon Ball Super website was launched that will provide exclusive content, video and character information as well as the latest news about the series. For now, going to the site will only show a countdown for the premiere and a register slot for those who would want added news.

Incidentally, no mention of the musical scoring was announced. It might be possible that they will just keep the original Japanese music score. Additionally, the Japanese version is about to air Episode 70 this week, which means the English dubbers will have a lot of catching up to do.
