Fans and the Western aficionados alike have arduously waited for more than five years until an announcement for "Red Dead Redemption 2" was made. As news of a sequel has been assured to these fans, it was reported that gamers rocking the PlayStation 4 will be able to get first dibs on the online content of the game. Moreover, representatives at Take-Two Interactive are intending to make a great story out of the highly-anticipated sequel.

Previous reports about Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive's "Red Dead Redemption 2" well on its way in development was announced back in October, after the developers have released a trailer for the sequel, University Herald noted. It was mentioned therein that the latest installment to the franchise will be feature a more unforgiving Western world.

As fans await for more details regarding the game, news of PlayStation and Rockstar Games' partnership have surfaced around that shows the latter's upcoming "Red Dead Redemption 2" is intended and will be built to take full advantage of Sony's PS4, PlayStation Blog reported.

With the success of other highly-acclaimed titles, such as "Grand Theft Auto," it was also stated therein that the game is also expected to offer players a brand new online multiplayer experience due to the game's large and immersive world.

As such, it was also announced therein that fans on the current-gen PlayStation 4 will be the first to access and earn selected online content in the grand open-world of the upcoming "Red Dead Redemption 2."

That being said, it was also mentioned by Take-Two Interactive's CEO, Strauss Zelnick, that the game will be featuring an impressive story to it, Gamespot reported. It was further stated that the game will offer an incredible emotional depth where fans can expect some great story elements and gameplay to it.

It would seem that fans are in for a treat once "Red Dead Redemption 2" gets released for the PlayStation 4 in the future.
