Nokia is set to make a big comeback in the global smartphone market with its flagship smartphone, Nokia Pixel, which runs on the latest Android operating system and Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 chipset.

The latest leak on Nokia's new entry-level smartphone suggests a 5.2-inch or 5.5-inch screen size. Rumors also claim that it will sport 2K (QHD) display with a 1920 x 1080 pixel screen resolution, according to GameNGuide.

Under the hood, the handset is powered by a dual-core CPU variant with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor clocked at 1.19GHz, which includes a 3GB of RAM and 32GB of ROM. However, according to Antutu benchmark, the device is powered by Qualcomm 430 chipset coupled with an Adreno 505 GPU.

In its optics department, the upcoming Nokia smartphone might carry the latest Carl Zeiss lens, as a previous feature on the Lumia smartphones. It can be remembered that the Lumia Smartphone cameras have good reputation for its excellent camera capabilities. In recent news, the device is expected to sport a 13MP primary camera and an 8MP front shooter.

Additionally, the new Nokia smartphones will be supporting the Quick Charge 3.0 technology to charge the battery. The smartphone's design feature will also be a metal unibody design and a waterproof certification. It will run the latest Android Nougat firmware out of the box.

According to AsiaStarz, HMD Global is the company behind the comeback of Nokia. HMD Global, a Finland-based company signed a contract with Nokia Technologies.

When the company signed a strategic licensing contract with Nokia Technologies, the cutting-edge technology and licensing unit of Nokia Corporation granted the Finland-based company exclusive global license to manufacture Nokia-branded mobile phones and tablets during the course of ten years.

HMD's aim is to nurture Nokia's global brand reach, supplying stunningly designed, high quality mobile devices and tablets to people while maintaining the company's brand commitment.

In addition to the Nokia Pixel, they will also release three more flagship smartphones: the Nokia D1C, Nokia 5320 and Nokia 1490. The new Nokia Android smartphone lineup is expected to be launched next year at the February 2017 Mobile World Congress (MWC). The Nokia Pixel lineup is expected to replace the Asha series.
