"Overwatch" fans have some bad news ahead, Blizzard Entertainment has just announced scheduled maintenance for Overwatch on Nov. 29.

"Overwatch" will be down for scheduled maintenance on Nov. 29 from 7 AM to 9 AM Pacific Time, wherein players might run into trouble if they try to play the game during the maintenance period, according to Gamingbolt.

Blizzard did not provide much information what the scheduled maintenance would be for, but luckily it won't take too long. Reports said that this could be a simple maintenance, where a small patch will be deployed for fixing some bugs.

Despite not providing detailed information regarding what this scheduled maintenance could be for, there are rumors that have come up for "Overwatch" that this maintenance could be gearing the game up for.

One big reason is the much-anticipated Christmas-themed event, which is expected to take place this December along with the Competitive Play season 3 and a reworked Symmetra that is set to go live soon.

The rumor about the Christmas-themed event for "Overwatch" comes from a number of data files that have been discovered recently. The Christmas-themed event will apparently feature a new game mode called Arena along with new "Overwatch" characters, GameSpot reported.

In other "Overwatch" news, developer Blizzard has announced plans to change the skill tiers in Overwatch Season 3, which is set to launch next month.

Released in May 2016, "Overwatch" is a first-person multiplayer shooter game developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment for PC, Xbox One, and PS4. The game is Blizzard's fourth major franchise and came after the 2014 cancellation of Titan, one of Blizzard's ambitious project.

"Overwatch" places players into two teams, with each player selecting one of several pre-defined hero characters along with its attributes and movements. Teams work together to secure and defend some areas in the map. Players are also tasked to escort a payload across the map but in a limited amount of time.
