December will cater in a reported massive Pokemon Go update that will bring in 100 new normal and Legendary Pokemon that includes Mew and Mewtwo, new gameplay features, and chance to catch Ditto.

The gameplay will include a player-versus-player battles and trading between players. Provisions in raising Pokemon in a Tamagotchi-like manner after the creatures hatch from eggs are reportedly incorporated in the update. PokeVS and The Silph Road managed to uncover data on the 100 new Pokemon in the game's data, according to Slash Gear.

The report also stated that though the Pokemon are there, they still have no move sets and the update is needed before they can make an appearance. Though there is no indication if Niantic if the new creatures and features will be released in one massive rollout or gradually in a span of weeks.

Pokemon Go Mew, Mewtwo, and Ditto

Mew and Mewtwo appearances in the coming December update are expected; note that Mewtwo appeared as an enemy in the original Pokemon Go video back in September 2015. However, the Pokemon Go Thanksgiving Celebration catered to the release of Ditto.

Ditto is among the last Pokemon to stage an appearance from the original 150. The Pokemon can be caught by catching one of the Pokemon listed here by Slash Gear. Catching one of the listed Pokemon with a Ditto will transform the Pokemon and remain. During the battle, Ditto will transform into the first Pokemon it engages in battle. The transformation is automatic and the player has no control when transformation triggers.

Pokemon Go renewed interest

Already pegged as the most successful mobile game, Pokemon Go game activity has fizzled down with many players simply stopped playing the game. The update comes in order to raise renewed interest in the game to give players a reason to keep playing, VentureBeat reported.
