Motorola officially announced that two of its popular flagships get discounted. Moto G4 now sells for $179.99 whilst the Plus model is offered at $199.99. The new pricing lets buyers save $20 and $50 from their original prices. The promotion ends in Nov. 29.

Not only in its official site - but lowest-end Moto G4 also receives price down in Amazon as it has been sold at $174.99 since Nov. 27.

Moto G4 and G4 Plus: What's the difference?

Motorola Moto G4 and G4 Plus receive different treatments in the hardware. The flagships' outward appearance are the same - sporting 5.5-inch screen with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution and 401 ppi pixel density. Under the hood, a Snapdragon 617 chip powers the Marshmallow devices.

Motorola Moto G4 gets 16/32 GB and 2 GB RAM whilst the Plus model offers more options of RAM/ROM pairing: 16 GB and 2 GB RAM; 32 GB and 3 GB RAM; 64 GB and 4 GB RAM, as reviewed by Forbes.

Moto G4 Plus optics department gets 16 MP and 5 MP cameras shipped with dual LED flash, phase auto detection and laser autofocus features whereas Moto G4 packs 13 MP and 5 MP with less features equipping the optics.

Moto G4 Plus camera wins over the sibling due to the faster focusing ability and higher camera, Android Police reported. Overall, G4 Plus specs offer slightly better performance.

Are Moto G4 and G4 Plus worth the value?

Moto G4 and G4 Plus were in high-end category before they get price cuts. Now that it becomes more affordable, potential buyers can experience pure Android from its Stock Android OS. They are free from bloatware and the launchers are different from the one on Xiaomi 3S Prime for instance.

Users who want more premium device than the Moto G4 and G4 Play can opt for Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime.
