It can be recalled that the Cupertino-based tech giant disappointed the fans when they announced the 9.7-inch iPad Pro in March 2016 and not the iPad Air that everyone was expecting. For this reason, Apple is reportedly brewing something for the loyal fans of iPad Air.

The long standing rumors on iPad Air 3 has been around for almost a year now and none of them have directly confirmed by Apple. However, according to MacWorld, Apple is likely to launch a next-gen mid-size iPad range next year with new features, design, specifications and sizes.

iPad Air 3 Features and Specs

Considering that iPad Air 3 will be a next-generation device, great features and specs are heavily expected to come along. According to Neurogadget, the presumed 9.7-inch iPad Air 3 features and specs will be quite similar to iPhone 7 most especially when it comes to a dual-lens camera.

Furthermore, iPad Air 2 is believed to sport an HD 4k screen resolution with 3D Touch technology, support for Apple Pencil, powered by Apple proprietary chipset the A9 processor, 3GB of RAM coupled with 16B and 32GB internal storage capacity. In addition, Apple is also said to have removed the 3.5mm audio jack from iPad Air 3 to follow the trend of iPhone 7, and thus, having enough space for the screen display.

iPad Air 3 Release Date and Price

Following the same pattern of iPad Air releases from the previous years, Apple is anticipated to release iPad Air 3 in March 2017. For the price, since iPad Air 2 with 32GB storage had a price tag of $274, 9.7-inch iPad Pro costs $449 and iPad Mini 2 costs $199.79, iPad Air 3 is expected to costs more than $500 given the rumored features and specs of the device.
