"The Originals" Season 4 has reportedly been pushed back at a later date instead of the initial January 2017 airing date. Furthermore, several casts from "The Vampire Diaries" are slated to reach New Orleans in the upcoming season. "The Originals" Season 4 may reportedly see Klaus' previous love interest cross over in the series but no longer as a lover.

"The Originals" Season 4 is slated to premiere on March 2017. Furthermore, the CW also announced that the upcoming season will take over the timeslot of "The Vampire Diaries" which will wrap up on Mar. 10 for its season finale. Furthermore, latest spoilers reportedly unveiled that Alaric Saltzman, played by Matt Davis will be dropping by "The Originals" Season 4.

Rumor has it that Alaric will be making more than just a brief appearance on  "The Originals" Season 4. It is said that Alaric will be looking for Elijah to deliver a priceless artifact to him. Previously, Tyler Lockwood (Michael Trevino) and Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley) already made a crossover in the early seasons of the series, The Siver Times reported.

Additionally, Nina Dobrev will also be making the crossover to  "The Originals" Season 4. However, Dobrev will not be playing Elena Gilbert but as a Petrova doppelganger Tatia. Furthermore,  "The Originals" Season 4 executive producer also promised a memorable crossover for the fans. Rumor has it that Candice King who played Caroline Forbes will also crossover to "The Originals" Season 4 to help Klaus heal from the Tunde Blade.

Meanwhile, Matt Donovan, played by Zach Roerig also crossed over on the series and may still remain in "The Originals" Season 4. Stefan also made his way to the series to hide in a bar where magic does not work. Note that Stefan has been engaged to Caroline in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8, TV Guide reported. The executive producer Julie Plec also noted the happiness in the engagement.

"The Originals" Season 4 may not see the rekindled romance of Klaus and Caroline. "The Originals" Season 4 also shows the now grown-up Hope Mikaelson. Klaus' daughter is also rumored to save her father from her apparent complications.  Watch the Extended Trailer here:
