Harman International Industries, known for its high-end audio systems with more than twenty brands including JBL, Harman/Kardon, Infinity, Soundcraft and others will soon be used in Samsung Galaxy devices.

Mobile devices integrated with high-end audio quality nowadays are a plus. Samsung Galaxy Devices has been competitive not only with its device specs and features, but also with the audio quality. But having Harman incorporated to the South Korean giant tech devices will surely catch everyone's heart.

Now that Samsung has acquired Harman, the head of Samsung's automotive division - Park John-hwan said that they are exploring the options to add Harman audio in their smartphones which could happen in 2018.

That being said, we cannot yet expect Samsung Galaxy S8 to be integrated with the most awaited Harman audio system.

Park Jong-hwan also said that the acquisition process will take time to be completed including the planned shareholders' vote before they could ramp up business synergy efforts. So, if they are going to adopt the Harman technologies on the Samsung Galaxy S phones, the first model will probably come in 2018, GSM Arena reported.

Following the acquisition announcement, the Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Samsung Electronics, Oh-Hyun Kwon said that Harman will perfectly complement Samsung in its technologies, solutions and products, and that the joining of their forces is a natural extension of the automotive strategy that they have been pursuing, Trusted Reviews reported.

Harman audio is also being used on other smartphones and devices, like the HTC One M8 Haman Kardon edition, the JBL SoundBoost Moto Mod add on, Phone Arena reported.

Android Headlines also noted other devices using Harman audio systems such as the LG G5 with Bang and Olufsen audio, as well as the Huawei MediaPad M3 which also uses Harman Kardon Audio, and in a number of Lenovo Yoga products.
