Sony has rolled out the beta version for its Android 7.0 Nougat specifically for the single sim Xperia X Performance in early November. However, will the Japanese tech company continue the official launch of its new software or will it cancel?

Sony promised to offer updates as customers wait for the final version's launch for the masses. That promise is somehow going to be fulfilled as the company released on Nov. 21 its first Android 7.0 update for Xperia X Performance, which comes with the new November security patch, Phone Arena reported.

This update has a build number of 38.1.A.0.342 (NBD91K4), Android Authority reported. Its latest November security patch is from Google. It will also have the new X-Reality support for its Album App. Customers can now enjoy apps such as the Xperia Home and Xperia Transfer.

Some bugs from the Nougat-based concept were also fixed. It now has a better version of the fingerprint driver. Problems in the camera and FM Radio are also fixed.

Users should remove the Xperia Home app and icon packs from their Home setting before downloading the new concept update. Xperia X users in Europe can get the new "Concept for Android" updates with the Sony Concept Installer, which they can download from the Google Play Store.

The Android 7.0 Nougat beta version was released to certain users back in Nov. 1. It was available for users of the Xperia X Performance with model number F8131. That firmware has built number 39.2.A.0.248 with security patches from Oct. 1.

That version has a split-screen multitasking capabilities and a new notification panel. That version's camera has manual shutter speed control and its ISO control can also be manually controlled at 23MP. It has the latest type of Stamina Mode. It also has an improved touch sensitivity capability.

The masses will have to wait for the final version of the firmware.
