Android 7.0 Nougat for Samsung Galaxy S and Note Series

The long wait is over for the loyal fans and owners of Samsung Galaxy S7 series as the rolling out of Android 7.0 Nougat to their respective handsets is likely to happen soon. According to Deccan Chronicle, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 EDGE are the two handsets that are first to receive the updates instead of the unfortunate Galaxy Note 7.

Aside from the mentioned devices, Samsung is reportedly working out to bring the updates to the following Galaxy S series handsets: Galaxy S7 Batman Version, Galaxy S7 Active, Galaxy S7 Olympic Release, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 EDGE, Galaxy S6 EDGE Plus, Galaxy S6 Iron Man Version, Galaxy S6 Active and Galaxy S5. According to Sam Mobile, Samsung is also said to have been working for the rolling out of Android 7.0 Nougat to Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy Tab S2.

Accordingly, the beta trial will be on mid-December and is expected to rollout in the above-mentioned devices at the end of December just before the year is over. However, the firmware will be released first to Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 EDGE.

Android 7.0 Nougat is believed to bring feature enhancements to the eligible devices. Some of the expected features are multi-window app, longer battery life, Grace UX, Google Assistant, seamless upgrades, answer notifications, enhanced record program, data saver and Java 8 language support.

Android 7.0 Nougat to Galaxy A, Galaxy C and Galaxy J Series

On the other hand, there is no announcement whether or not the mainstream devices from the popular Galaxy A, Galaxy C and Galaxy J series are able to get Android 7.0 Nougat. But users are advised to wait for Samsung's further announcement regarding the matter.
