The "Fullmetal Alchemist" in live action movie finally released its debut trailer, featuring the singer Ryosuke Yamada in full get-up as Edward Elric.

Fans expressed their excitement over the movie in various online portals and forums, following the release of the debut trailer of the movie. Aside from Edward Elric, Anime News Network reported that the trailer also featured AI, Yamada's younger brother in the movie. Although the trailer did not fully focus on Al's character, fans already felt excitement as they were given a slice of how the two siblings fight in a battle.

The movie is the first adaptation of the hit anime series, "Fullmetal Alchemist." Collider reported that should the directors of the movie decide to follow the manga storyline, the movie will revolve around the journey of Edward in obtaining the Philosopher's Stone, which is believed to be able to help him restore his arms and his brother's body into human flesh after they turned into metals.

Many fans expect that the live action movie does not mess up the original manga's story as the manga previously received positive feedback. The movie will be produced through Warner Bros.

The movie's director Fumihiko Sori said that the cast members of "Fullmetal Alchemist" are all Japanese, although the movie will have westernized setting. He noted that he maintains neutrality in directing, which means his movie will not reflect any race or country. The director is also behind the movie "Dragon Age: Dawn of the Seeker."

The cast of "Fullmetal Alchemist" Live Action movie includes Tsubasa Honda as Winry Rockbell, Dean Fujioka as Roy Mustang, Ryta Sato as Maes Hughes, Misako Renbutst as Riza Hawkeye, Kenjirou Ishimaru as Cornello, Fumiyo Kohinata as Gen. Hakuro and Natsuki Harada as Gracia Hughes.

The "Fullmetal Alchemist" live action movie is set to premiere in Japan on winter next year.
