The long awaited release of "Fallout 4" Update Patch 1.8 and mod support for PS4 has finally arrived. Developer Bethesda has just announced the release of the Update Patch 1.8 and mod support for PS4 consoles, adding PS4 mode support one year after its release.

"Fallout 4" is an action role-playing video game developed and published by Bethesda Game Studios for PC, PS4, and Xbox One gaming consoles. The game is the fifth major installment in the Fallout game series. The game is set within an open world post-apocalyptic environment, after the great war that caused catastrophic nuclear devastation across the United States.

Bethesda Game Studios made the announcement on Twitter, saying that "Fallout 4" 1.8 updates and PS4 Mod support will arrive on PS4 later this week. According to GameRant, Fallout 4's 1.8 updates will include changes the mods feature so that players cannot rate work-in-progress mods, nor can they rate a mod until after they finished downloading it.

In addition, the update also fixes some crash scenarios and made some performance improvements. Previously, the developer announced that "Fallout 4" will take advantage of the PS4 Pro in 4K along with improved graphics and enhanced lighting. However, the company didn't provide any further information about this.

As for mods on PS4, there is one big limitation, PS4 players can only use up to 1GB of space for mods. Some patch notes were already released for the PC version. You can check the complete full patch notes on Bethesda website.

In other news, Bethesda on October announced that it had finally reached an agreement with Sony to allow mods for "Fallout 4" and Skyrim Special Edition. However, according to reports, PS4 mods for both games are limited to ones that use internal assets only, which s means there are likely to be far fewer mods available on PS4 than Xbox One.
