While many people look at musical performances and Broadway shows as a form of entertainment. Some fail to see the importance of such a production. And one organization recognizes that. Aside from collecting aspiring actors from schools, performers from different theater classes and anyone who wants to work in theater, the stage is said to be as a place for lessons learned.

A national non profit organization called Retreat to Broadway is working on a live theater program that is set to launch a national arts education campaign to do just that. Retreat to Broadway works on the Educational, Professional, Social and Spiritual guidance of everyone.

Retreat to Broadway is planning to use "Hairpsray" as an Arts Education Resource Guide. To make this possible, Retreat to Broadway enlisted teachers, actors, consultants and writers from all over North America to provide games, Q and As, lesson plans and more.

They hope this resource will become an ideal reference for anyone looking to join drama and performing. It works as an independent document that can be used by anyone at any time. It will be distributed prior to the live airing on television for just $10.00. The document is made available in PDF format. It is ready to be released on November 23, prior to NBC's live telecast, cites Broadway World.

Featured on NBC, using the musical "Hairspray," will work around current issues and themes in the country surrounding bullying, body shaming, cultural diversity and more. On December 7, NBC is showing a national telecast of "Hairspray LIVE!"

NBC and Retreat to Broadway founder Brian Reavey hopes that the live telecast of "Hairspray" will help remind everyone about what it means to respect one another regardless of race, gender or circumstance. He hopes "Hairspray LIVE!" will strengthen America.

Reavey add that theater is not just about performing but it is about bringing people together.
