"The Last of Us 2" is rumored to be released on the PlayStation 4 Pro first due to "The Last of Us" Remastered is doing poorly on the latest Sony console. The movie adaptation of the video game is at a standstill due to a conflict of interest.

PS4 Pro rumored to get "The Last of Us 2" first

Due to the major success of the prequel, "The Last of Us," fans are confident that it will get a sequel right away. It is currently rumored that "The Last of Us 2" will be released on the PS4 Pro first due to an unfortunate turn of events with the remastered version of the first game.

Performance of "The Last of Us" Remastered is very poor on PS4 Pro

According to Digital Foundry, "The Last of Us" Remastered version is doing very poorly on the PS4 Pro, which surprised them greatly. They have found out that when the game is set on 1800p the game cannot maintain 60 frames per second and it regularly declines to 54FPS. This removes them of the choice of getting enhanced performance instead.

The testers said that it is clear the jump to 1800p was too ambitious for Naughty Dog, even if the PS4 Pro had stronger hardware. The good thing was that it can run the video game at native 4K resolution if the graphics setting of the frame rate was lowered to 30FPS instead. This was the reason why the sequel might be released on PS4 Pro instead to please the fans after this disappointment.

"The Last of Us" movie is stuck

Producer Sam Raimi told IGN in an exclusive interview that the movie adaptation of "The Last of Us" is at a standstill currently. He said that neither Naughty Dog nor Sony was doing anything to move it forward for production. He also confessed that the creative director Neil Druckmann had some kind of conflict with how the direction of the film was going to be.
