"Injustice 2" is currently in the works at the Chicago-based NetherRealm Studios and itsdevelopers are doing their best to beat the 2017 March release date, according to lastest rumors and reports.

"Injustice 2" is the developer's upcoming video game and the most awaited sequel of the popular game "Injustice: Gods Among Us". As we all remember, NeatherRealm Studio has released the game's teaser video in June that made fans speculate about the game's imminent release date. However, due to some technical issues, the game's release date has been canceled and moved to March 2017. 

For NetherRealm Studios, 2015 has always been a big year as the Chicago-based developers managed to defy challenges and released "Mortal Kombat X," which is one of the most anticipated games in the industry.

However, NetherRealm Studios has one big problem left on the table, and it's a very serious one -- delays.

Despite the game's delay issues, fans are still eager to see who among the DC characters that are included in the upcoming sequel. Kotaku had learned that Injustice 2 are very well-known today due to the DC characters appearing in the game, which include Wonderwomen, Supergirl, Harley Quinn, Superman, Batman, Dead Shot, Atrocitus, Blue Beatle and Gorilla Grodd.

Additional DC heroes are also reportedly coming to the game. These include Beast Boy, Swamp Thing, Starfire, John Constantine, Red Hood, Captain Gold, The Atom, Black Canary and Ra's al Ghul.

"Injustice 2" will also get a new look, this time it's much more detailed with more improved visual effects. As what we reported earlier, the game will utilize Mortal Kombat X's game engine, a software application that can provide an extra visual boost.

As for what the game's story, nothing has been changed or revealed yet. The developer has remained tight-lipped, not even words or hints were given. "Injustice 2" is currently in development for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One consoles and is set for a March 2017 release date.
